Mental Health Support

Raising awareness means also making sure people are aware of the support out there and thankfully, there is lots of help. Here are my personal recommendations of where to go for information, support and advice on mental health issues. I'll update them regularly so make sure to check back and if you have any particular websites/support lines you'd like to see here, just give me a shout.

Please contact the Samaritans if you need to talk to someone immediately. They're available 24/7/365. You can telephone them on 08457 90 90 90.

Mind is a fantastic charity supporting those living with mental illness and has a great website full of lots of useful information, including about where to go for more support.

Another brilliant charity that also runs Mental Health Awareness Week each year. They have some really helpful publications and a mental health 'a - z'.

Anxiety UK is a charity particularly close to my heart. Their website is obviously directed at those living with anxiety disorders, but you can also join as a member and get a fab magazine filled with lots of information about the latest research and how to live with anxiety being a part of your life. They even have a support line you can call.

Dedicated to helping children and adults alike who are affected by OCD. OCD UK is great for providing tons of info about how OCD affects different people in different ways.
